Kasdorf commits

TROY -- Things had been getting a little dicey for RPI coach Seth Appert in his plans to secure a goaltender to take over when Allen York leaves. Turns out, he's gotten the guy he's been seeking for some time -- Winnipeg's Jason Kasdord, The Record has learned.
The 18-year old (he'll be 19 in mid-May) will enter RPI for the 2012-13 season.
Like York, he's tall and lanky -- 6-3 1/2, 178 pounds and is talented.
He was recently a rating (C--but bound to improve) by the National Hockey League's Central Scouting.
More later, and don't forget we'll have an RPI fans chat herein tonight at 6.
